PARKINSONG CHOIR

The Parkinsong Choir is a community choir formed as part of the Bay Area Parkinson's Support Group. The group hopes to bring together people with Parkinson's Disease, their partners, friends, caregivers, and community members to sing together and offer mutual support to one another. Music is very beneficial for all people, especially those dealing with physical, mental, and emotional health challenges. We rehearse once a week in the afternoon for 90 minutes. The group performs a variety of genres at local care facilities, at Bayfield's annual ‘Blessing of the Fleet event’, and for other events in the Chequamegon Bay. Our current director is Vincent Schueren (musician name 'Spoons for the People'). We are always looking for new singers! We welcome people of all ages, with any vocal range or ability. Participants need not have a direct prior connection to the Parkinson community; a desire to sing with a group and enjoy each other's company are the only requirements.
