Harmony on Silver
Harmony on Silver is a choir consisting of people living with memory changes, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s, their care-partners, friends, and community members. We are dedicated to enriching lives through intergenerational choral music, and our mission is to create opportunities for people to connect and thrive through singing together. We are excited to express our love of the Hurley/Ironwood and surrounding areas through service, artistry, and inclusion with a particular focus on the inclusion of people living with memory and thinking changes. Fall 2026 will be our first season, and we are so excited!

Welcome Message from our Director:
Hello and welcome! My name is Vince, and I have been living in the Hurley area for about 5 years. I work as a performing and teaching musician, direct community choirs in Hurley and the Chequamegon Bay, and love to sing and meet new people. I started a memory choir called Melody Lane Singers in Ashland one year ago, and it was very well-received (click here to hear what singers had to say about their experience), so I wanted to start one in Hurley as well. We have an awesome planning team, a rehearsal space that is ready to go, and plenty of interest from the community we hope to serve. I hope you’ll beleive me when I say this choir is for YOU, regardless of whether or not you have memory loss and even if you have never sung in a choir before and are not a musician. The goal is to enjoy music, reap its many benefits, and build a sense of community amongst participants. I look forward to meeting you and embarking on a fun, creative journey together!
Sing with Us!
Singing is SO much fun!! You’ll love it. To sing with us, you can send an email to our director and introduce yourself ahead of time. Or, simply show up to the first rehearsal! All singers are welcome regardless of your singing skill level and whether or not you’ve been diagnosed with a memory-related condition. If a singer needs transportation assistance or individual support during rehearsals, let us know and we will do our best to pair the singer with a volunteer singer. We ask a suggested financial contribution of $25 per season from each singer. If this causes financial stress, please let us know and we can cover this!
Volunteer and Donation Opportunities!
We are in our first year of operations and could use your help as we grow and change! Please scroll down to fill out our volunteer form or learn how you can help us financially. There are ways to help whether or not you plan to sing with the choir!
Repertoire and Practice Tracks
(Fall 2026)
You can practice our repertoire by singing along with these tracks at home!
